Vainglorious is a work in progress. This one has been on my mind for quite a long time and is a modern reimagining of Oscar Wilde’s classic tale, The Picture Of Dorian Gray, set in the high-stakes world of finance. With its layered characters, razor-sharp dialogue, and morally complex themes, it delivers a psychological thriller that challenges readers to confront the price of ambition and the darker corners of human brilliance.

Logline: “A brilliant fund manager and secret cruciverbalist (crossword puzzle constructor), seduced by power and celebrity, makes a Faustian bargain that elevates her status and wealth while her puzzles insidiously drain the mental acuity of her male colleagues. In stark contrast to her thriving fund, her colleagues’ falter, triggering an internal investigation by an astute wealth psychologist.”
